    When you invest your trust and hard earned money with American Deck Co., you are not just hiring a carpenter or some unproven Deck-Company with a nice web site. You are getting a team of professionals that has expertise in each step of the construction process from designs, drawings and permits, to factory-authorized carpenters.
    We finish your project in a timely fashion. In your contract, we give you a start date and a finish date. Unlike many contractors, we do not jump from job to job. We can't afford to "job hop". While it may temporarily help cash flow for poorly managed contractors, in the long run, it is much more efficient and less stressful for all parties to have one crew on one project at a time.
    A job manager who will keep you informed throughout the construction process will oversee your project. He will be easily accessible to answer any questions you may have.

Morris and Sandy Katz founded Katz Contracting, American Deck Co. in 1989 at the kitchen table. The company grew out of a vision to give the customer a contractor who could always be found, would return calls, and above all, deliver a quality product. Nineteen years, and thousands of satisfied customers later, this vision has grown from two people at a kitchen table, to a team of professionals with a showroom, offices, and factory in their 6,600 s.f building in Danbury. Morris and Sandy currently live in Brookfield, CT with their 3 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and rabbit.
Morris Katz has been designing and building for over 20 years. He was one of the area's first contractors to utilize computer aided drawings, and his "deck specification" drawing was quickly adopted by many of the area's building departments as the model for proper deck construction. Along with preparing all of the permit drawings, Morris oversees the "big picture" to insure that the company is running true to the original vision.
Sandy Katz prepares and obtains the building permits required by the town in order to build the companies varied projects. She manages the daily book keeping, and insures that all licenses and certifications are kept current.

Mike is the Company's Project Manager. He oversees each project from start to finish. He orders all materials, ensures timely delivery and maintains the building schedule. Mike's 24 years of construction management experience insures your project will run smoothly and be completed on time.		Chaz provides our free estimate and design services. In addition to visiting your site for free design consultations and estimates, he also meets with most clients at our Showroom to go over the many choices available in today's deck building market.		Kelly Ann is the friendly voice you'll hear when you call the office. Answering the phone is only one of Kelly's responsibilities. She also oversees the daily running of the office and keeps all marketing materials up to date.
